Continuing Professional Development

The Association provides regular continuing professional development lectures for podiatrists to support the mandatory CPD requirement by the Podiatry Board of Australia.  The following is an extract from Guidelines for CPD issued by The Podiatry Board of Australia.

There are 5 categories for CPD:

• Professional Development – max of 10 hours
• Further Education – max of 10 hours
• Quality improvement – max of 10 hours
• Self directed Learning – max of 5 hours
• Community service – max of 5 hours.

You are not required to engage in activities for all categories, however to obtain 20 hours it will be necessary to gain credits from at least 2 categories.  In addition to the 20 hours per annum CPD you must also hold a certificate in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with Defibrilator and Anaphylaxsis components.

Resources

The Association maintains a DVD library of past CPD lectures which are available for purchase. Please download a Resource Order form and make your selection from the list provided.  Other resources available to purchase include information brochurs, posters, guidelines and report pads.

Other resources available to members to loan include a data projector, notebook computer, display stands, posters, and mobile plinths. Resource Order Form.
